Coastal Engineering, Ports and Harbours, Climate Adaptation, Hydraulics

Ever since my time as a student at Aalborg University, I have had a great fascination of waves and the immense forces they can contain, and I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with the sea and waves throughout my entire career.

I have specialized in coastal engineering, climate adaptation and ports and harbours and I work daily with tasks such as numerical modelling of waves and currents, analysing measurement data and model results, designing various coastal and harbour structures (such as breakwaters, groynes, dikes, etc.), and conducting coastal engineering analyses.

Interpreting and understanding the physical processes that occur along a coastline or when waves break against a breakwater requires deep theoretical insight, and I have always insisted on the importance of understanding the physics before devising solutions. This may sound obvious, but unfortunately, there are countless examples of ineffective coastal protection, harbours that silt up, and structures that are undermined by erosion because the physical processes at play were not fully understood.

One of my strengths is the ability to communicate technically advanced and complex subjects in a clear and understandable way, so that clients and authorities can make more informed decisions.

I look forward to bringing my experience and passion to your next project and creating lasting and sustainable results together.
